LEGAL & COMPLIANCE
Acceptable Use & Responsible AI Policy
- Effective date:
- 20 August 2026
- Version:
- 1.0
- Owner:
- AI SMITH
This policy sets out expectations for anyone using the AI SMITH website, agents, or platform — visitors, customers, and partners. It works alongside our Website Terms of Use and, where applicable, your Customer Services Terms or Partner & Referral Program Terms; where a conflict exists, the specific agreement governing your relationship with us takes precedence over this general policy.
Prohibited uses
You must not use AI SMITH's website, agents, or platform to:
- engage in or facilitate any illegal activity;
- harm, harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate any person;
- deceive, defraud, or mislead any person or organisation;
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights;
- discriminate unlawfully against any individual or group; or
- generate or distribute content that is invasive of privacy or otherwise unlawful.
Restrictions on high-impact decisions
AI agents provided through AI SMITH are designed to prepare, draft, summarise, and recommend — not to make final decisions on high-impact or regulated matters without qualified human oversight. You must not configure or use an agent to autonomously decide, without human review: employment outcomes (hiring, discipline, termination), financial approvals or postings, legal or regulatory determinations, health-related judgements, or safety-critical actions. See each agent's "human control" section on its solution page for the specific boundaries that apply.
Data expectations
You must not submit passwords, national identification numbers, banking details, health records, or other sensitive personal or confidential data into public website forms or unapproved workflows. Where an agent is genuinely scoped to process customer, employee, or financial data as part of an approved engagement, that data must be handled under the access and permission rules set out in your specific agreement, limited to what the workflow requires.
Restricted conduct
You must not use AI SMITH's website, agents, or platform to:
- obtain, distribute, or use credentials without authorisation;
- create, distribute, or deploy malware or similar harmful code;
- conduct unauthorised surveillance of any individual;
- impersonate any person or organisation;
- send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or engage in manipulative or deceptive marketing practices; or
- attempt to bypass security, access controls, or usage limits.
High-risk boundaries
Additional care applies to employment, finance, legal, health, safety, and education contexts. In each of these areas, AI SMITH agents are designed to support preparation and information — not to replace the judgement of a qualified, authorised person. Content and recommendations related to these areas must be reviewed by someone with the relevant authority and expertise before being acted on.
Human review expectations
Users are expected to review agent-prepared outputs before relying on them for anything consequential — a customer communication, a financial record, an employment matter, or a public statement. AI SMITH agents are designed with defined escalation points for exactly this reason; disabling or bypassing those escalation points is inconsistent with this policy.
Accuracy and correction
AI-generated or AI-assisted content can be incomplete or incorrect. Users should check outputs against approved source material where accuracy matters, and report inaccuracies so the underlying knowledge or workflow can be corrected. We do not claim error-free output from any AI agent.
Reporting and enforcement
If you become aware of a violation of this policy, please report it through the Contact page, selecting the relevant category. We will review reported concerns and may investigate, restrict, or suspend access where a violation is confirmed. Where access is restricted or suspended, an affected customer or partner may raise an appeal through the process set out in their specific agreement, or through the Contact page where no such agreement exists.
Relationship to other terms
This policy applies in addition to, not instead of, our Website Terms of Use, Privacy Notice, and any Customer Services Terms or Partner & Referral Program Terms that govern your specific relationship with AI SMITH.
Changes
We may update this policy as our services, technology, or the law change. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
Draft prepared for review — not yet reviewed by qualified counsel.
